Description
Huehuetenango farms sit high in the mountains ranging from 5,000 – 6,500 feet with hot winds coming form the Mexican Mountains. The additional heat layers protect Huehuetenango from frost and enable coffee to grow at dizzying heights. Huehuetenango is also blessed with numerous rivers that facilitate this washed-process coffee. This all leads to a low acid, heavy body coffee with flavoring notes of dark chocolate, graham cracker, vanilla, brown spices, pear, and raisin. A medium roast works great for this bean.
